First of all I would like to say Happy New Year (2016) to everyone. I hope this year will be a wondrous and joyous one for all of you.
Often in our busy lives we have very little time to contemplate the subtle beauty in each moment, an exquisite flower, a delicate fragrance or a warm breeze gently caressing the skin. Even feeling joyful or thankful for an instant that distracts you can be a blessing and has the ability to brighten your day.
I began with three colours that I had in mind for my painting; teal, orange and white. I knew that I wanted to paint a tree and have a woman in it. Then it came to me how about painting a woman just being ‘Present in the Moment’ and enjoying the splendour of a blossom tree and feeling the gentle breeze blowing through her hair. She feels she is part of all that is, just for those few minutes.
My husband has been experimenting in making short videos of my paintings. So please be kind he is not an expert. Here it is ‘Present in the Moment.’ Music by "Elements of Joy (Buddha Beach Cafe Mix)" by Sven Andersson III
